Certified Nurse's Aide

If you enjoy caring for other people, a career in the medical field might be for you. The field is always looking for skilled compassionate people who are willing to put their best efforts into helping others. Completing a nurse assistant program may help you get started right away. A Nurse Assistant is an entry level role that will make it possible for you to help others and get experience in the medical field.
You will find employment opportunities almost anywhere, since Nurse Assistants are needed throughout the state of Connecticut. This makes job security very high in most areas of the medical field.
Programs start approximately every four to six weeks. This is unlike most certificate programs where you would have to wait to enroll until a full semester ends, which could be three or four months.
You will attend a classroom learning environment made up of 40 hours as well as receive hands-on training. The hands-on training requires you to work at a long-term care facility with actual patients; students will be required to complete 60 hours in the clinical setting. You will be supervised by trained professionals who will help you with the correct procedures and medical understanding.
